Facing challenges such as course withdrawal and deferring her nursing application, she persisted and was ultimately accepted into Coppin鈥檚 highly competitive nursing program. Now preparing for graduation, Kayla is focused on passing the NCLEX and pursuing a career in pediatrics or women鈥檚 health, areas where she can advocate for underserved communities. She also envisions returning to Coppin as a clinical instructor to inspire the next generation of nurses.
