What is the ABC Recognition Program?

The ABC Recognition Program honours employees in the District who contribute to the educational community in four categories every year. This initiative acknowledges teachers and staff who demonstrate leadership excellence, innovation, student support, and collaboration. Every winter, Abbotsford School District French Immersion schools come together to celebrate a beloved tradition that brings warmth, excitement, and cultural appreciation to the chilly months. Inspired by Quebec City’s famous Carnaval de Québec, we have made it a tradition to embrace French Canadian heritage through food, music, and outdoor festivities—giving students a chance to create lasting memories year after year.

The Abbotsford School District is embarking on an innovative 12-year project titled "Journey to 2036," aiming to chronicle the educational journeys of a select group of students from Grade 1 through to their high school graduation in 2036.
